Cat Levan comes from a deeply musical family. Growing up, random instruments always seemed to appear in the house — a violin one day, a trumpet the next, a flute or banjo — but there was always a piano and a guitar. “My mother would play the piano as we were winding down to sleep. It was a dreamy way to drift off.”
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Cat is a singer songwriter whose debut album Double Life was a lifetime in the making. At 18 she walked away from a record label opportunity — a regret that haunted her for years. Decades later, she flew to California to record with Billboard hitmaker Steve Oliver, and hasn’t looked back.
